Description Randy Hudson CLA 2003-02-12 15:39:50 EST
I have single-click set to open editors. When I click on a GIF file, it opens
the GIF file in the Text Editor. I want setup the workbench to NEVER open GIF
files in any Editor, internal/extenal.

There is no choice for "<Do not open>".
Comment 1 Nick Edgar CLA 2003-02-19 11:26:54 EST
Note that you can map *.gif to an external program in the File Associations
preference page.

There are no plans for the UI team to work on this defect until higher
priority items are addressed. If you would like to work on this defect,
please let us know on the platform-ui-dev mailing list.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
