Eclipse freezes when I e.g. use content completion.
It does this with both the version available in the Ubuntu repo as well as the official downloaded one.
Interesting enough if I delete my eclipse installation and start from scratch it works for a while - so it seems eclipse keeps screwing itself up.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install eclipse
2. Work a few days with it
3. Use content assist

What kind of files are you editing exactly?

I would love to - but it began crashing on me all the time (see 309718).

Paul, may be related to Bug 309718 so I'll give this one to you as well.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
