1. Open two editors.
2. Use Alt+- to bring up the ill-named system menu (bug 289022).
3. Move > Editor
4. Click the 'Up' key once, your cursor should now turn into a 'Down' arrow.
5. Hit 'Enter' to commit the action.
6. Your editor area is split but the top editor is now dirty. :/

This happens for views also. The 'Enter' key press is propagated to the part, it can be observed if you have a tree and then you'll see it expand/collapse. Not sure if this is a presentation problem or not.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
