checking the list of avalable shortcuts is confusing. frints i got at least 12 entries for "Terminal view insert" being in alle columns exactly the same, except the actual shortcut. "Toggle Comment" exists in 5 variants, for "structured text editor" (which after 7 years of eclipse is till don't understand what that means), java, javascript, properties and sql. i don't really see of what use that kind of diversification is -- after all we are talking about one and the same user using different editors and that user usually is used to a single set of shortcut. he or she doesn't probably not think "toggling a comment? which editor am i using? oh, yeah, sql, that means shortcut 4", but always configures the same shortcut for everything, because he/she thinks "i want to toggle a comment, hit shortcut". i strongly urge to identify a common set of actions, assign one shortcut and force all plugins to use exact that action/shortcut instead of adding their own action/shortcut for commonly used ones like frinst "toggle comment". -- Configuration Details -- Product: Eclipse 1.2.1.20090812-1036 (org.eclipse.epp.package.jee.product) Installed Features: org.eclipse.platform 3.5.1.R35x_v20090910-9gEeG1_FthkNDSP2odXdThaOu9GFDPn83DGB7

I think it's still relevant. Today this escalated a lot: 1. DLTK 2. PDT 3. SSE 4. JDT 5. CDT I think that common command definition should be part of LTK. For example: 1. Toggle comment 2. Add block comment 3. Remove block comment
Itβs still closed ;)
Still relevant and desired.
