Build id: 200212181304 Open the preference page. Select Workbench->Fonts Select Dialog Fonts (do not change it). Press OK. Open the preference page again. Notice that the font of the preference dialog has changed. (I don't mean the setting, I mean the dialog itself). Note: I use Windows XP with large fonts (125%).
Cannot replicate in 20030129
This is still possible with large fonts - the dialog font used is Tahoma 8
cannot replicate in I20060704-0800. I think this bug is stale. I used large fonts and tried the original scenario (except that the fonts are now on the Appearance->Colors and Fonts page). Selecting the dialog font and not changing it did not change the font of the page. A related issue now is that the Colors and Fonts page does not honor the default system dialog font when in large font mode. It uses the smaller font. I'll open a separate bug on this one.
