For example, if you have two Tasks in the diagram, you want to link them together. You click on one task and there will be an arrow appear, but if you want to move the mouse to the other Task, it does not allow you link them. You have to move mouse on to the source task then move on to the target task, then it allows you to link these two tasks.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Creates two tasks in the diagram
2. Try to link two tasks by moving mouse from one task to the other one
3. It does not link
4. Click on the source task, hold your mouse, move to the target task, and move back to the source task, then move to the target task. Now these two are linked.

Well no, you're supposed to click on the arrow that appears, and drag it to the target task.

I'm not sure what you tried to do but that doesn't sound like something expected. Please let me know if I'm missing something.

If I click on source task, the connection handler will show up. Then I drag it with mouse, the arrow will show up, then I move my mouse to the target Task in order to link them, but this does not work. I have to move mouse back to the source task and move on to the target task again, then it works.

But if I link them by clicking target task and drag arrow to source target, it works.

Very weird...

I can confirm this problem. I am only able to link to tasks by clicking first the target task and drag arrow to source.

I can confirm this behaviour on Linux, Win7 and XP. JDK 1.6.

I can only ramdomly connect two elements either linking through the diagram or by using the palette elements.

We can verify this behaviour also under Linux and Windows XP using the current Galileo with newest BPMN stp modeller. In earlier versions we did not encounter this problem. In our view this is a real showstopper and it would be nice if you could fix this quickly.
