Quite frequently I'm using the AboutSystemPage (Help > About > Instalation Details > Configuration) to find information about some environment variable or some installation detail. Unfortunately there are about 3 megabytes of text in there. My current workaround is copy / pasting it into some editor and then searching. Because of this, it would be very helpful to have search functionality right in the AboutSystemPage. I'm thinking it should work similar to the one in Chrome: Ctrl+F -> little box pops up at the top right corner -> type the text. Use up / dn arrow to cycle through results. If that sounds interesting to you, I could work on it on some evening... PS: I think this could even be written in a generic manner and then go into JFace...
This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet. If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
