Snapshot of the progress bar

From bug 289228 .

With the build I20091026-1800, the progress bar that appears(after following
steps in bug 289228) flickers due to many items "Queueing viewer updates"
flashing in and out of the list.

Not a JDT issue.

There's the general progress dialog flickering issue when jobs come and go, see bug 209202. However, since there were recent changes in the area of marker view jobs we should investigate whether that's a regression.

Raksha , as Dani pointed out :

Your progress view is configured to show system and sleeping jobs. But,did you observe a similar behaviour with I20091027-0100?

The preference "Show sleeping and system operations" was disabled by default and yes I see the flickering with the I20091027-0100 build and with the above pref disabled.

Raksha, I tried this only on I20091027-0100, and haven't been able to reproduce it...

ProgressView recreates the elements whenever refreshed. As Dani pointed out, its potentially a dup of bug 209202.

Will investigate

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
