It doesn't seem to be reconfigurable so it requires you to leave the home row of the keyboard if you want to abort the action. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. C-x b to open the Quick Switch Editor 2. realise that you don't want to change buffer 3. hurt your hands while reaching for ESC
