User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US) AppleWebKit/532.0 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/3.0.195.21 Safari/532.0 Build Identifier: I20090611-1540 When creating a report with multiple nested List, all these Lists get transformed into word-tables. This is quite ugly when one has to change the generated word-report lateron. The tables make it difficult to insert large data, add additional page-breaks and so on. I understand word-tables are the right concept when having a BIRT grid. But for Lists I'd prefer having converted them to regular word-plain-text. Eventually giving me the possibility to have a paragraph-break after each detail of the list. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. create a new report with a list 2. optionally nest another list in the details-block of the first list 3. export do word document 4. the word-document contains tables for the lists.

I don't see why this is a duplicate of 316840 Could you please clarify? This bug is about that is has some negative side-effects when nesting lists since lists are stored as tables in word?!
reopen for investigation
Marking it as a duplicate of 316840 is because they all concern the List implementation in DOC output. BIRT doesn't support native List element. The List element is simulated with TABLE in BIRT layout engine. This will affect not only DOC output. If we are going to make any update on the list implementation, we will do it with 316840. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 316840 ***
