Are you expecting all tasks to open in separate editors?
No, I could imagine 3 UC: 1. Ctrl + H (_Task Search_ dialogue) - should display them all in _Search_ results If I enter query -> the list of issues is displayed. The same behavior could be implemented with several issue-id being input. 2. _Task List_ and other issue filters- displays them all in filtered format More on 2. currently filtering looks like all word matching in jira summary So, XXX-1 XXX-2 will be displayed if they both appear on the KEY + summary. This should be improved: all the issue should be displayed instead.\ Does it call for another separate improvement issue I should post here?
Sorry, I meant 2 UC
Regarding 1: This is already supported by going opening the search dialog multiple times. What is the activity that requires you to search for multiple tasks at once? Regarding 2: Can you provide more background why you want to filter the task list and filter for multiple matches?

The UC is: I have a list if Issue ids i have to pay attention to (from emails, skype, whatever over sink). It's lame to go one by one in the loop to see 20 issue. + Note, than searching by id - *DOES open the editor in the moment*, that's ok in case when searching against _one_ particular issue, but would not be appropriate in case of 20 issue list. So It would be tetter to display them as list (result set) in the search dialog results. Regarding 2. The UC is the same: I have a list if Issue ids i have to pay attention to (from emails, skype, whatever over sink). It would be killer feature for me to filter those in the _Task view_ at once by pasting in the list of the ids.
Thanks. JIRA does not currently support searching for tasks by ID but we can consider this enhancement for a future release once the necessary remote API is available. Please file a separate task for 2) and include the use case information from this bug report.

Separate enhancement issue created: https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=288956 P.S. I don't know how to correctly link / mark those as related. Thanks in advance.
