Created attachment 143893 [details] Screen shot of listing of files opened in Editor It will be nice to have mouse track wheel scrolling on the listing of files opened in Editor
Marking as PresentationsAPI. Paul, please reassign if its not correct
I tried this and it worked for me: 1) opened enough files to have 30 in the dropdown list 2) used my mouse to open the list 3) my mouse is hovering over the list 4) my scroll wheel moves the scroll bar up and down. PW
"Mouse track wheel scrolling on the listing of files opened in Editor" does not work on the version of Eclipse that I have Eclipse SDK Version: 3.4.2 Build id: M20090211-1700 I would like to know the Eclipse version on which this works. Thanks
It works for me on both 3.4.2 and 3.5 (but my mistake, I'm on linux). Kevin, is this a CTabFolder problem? PW
I am able to scroll after pressing down the mouse roller and focusing on one of the items in the list. It would be much better if it scrolls when the mouse hovers over the list. This could be related to the cursor being on the filter area at the top to restrict the list. Possible solution: - Initially set focus on the file name of the currently opened file - Set the filter only when user types in the key letters - Set focus back to first matching item in the list Thanks
(In reply to comment #5) > It would be much better if it scrolls when the mouse hovers over the list. I believe this is a feature/bug/whatever-you-want-to-call-it on GTK+ but is not the case on Windows. I'm on XP right now and I too have to click on the list before I can start scrolling. I recall having this conversation with Kevin Barnes.
should this be moved to SWT?
This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet. If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
