Description Kevin McGuire CLA 2002-12-17 17:23:36 EST
I moved my workspace directory tree from one partition to another.
When I went to replace the project under CVS control with another version, it
first complained that my entries/etc. are out of date with the file system. I
think they should've been still in sync.

I said yes to re-sync them. The result is that almost all, but not all, of
the files in the project are then locally dirty.

JM please retest/investigate.
Comment 2 Jean-Michel Lemieux CLA 2003-02-11 14:18:39 EST
I've investigated and found that the files show as dirty because of the file
system that is changing the modification time by one second. Some, not all, of
the target files have a timestamp that is +1 seconds from the source file.

This may be a doc or faq issues, since we don't have much control over the
filesystem changing the timestamps outside of Eclipse. This is similar to the
daylight savings problem.

Agreed, please annotate in FAQ and then close bug report as wontfix.

I hadn't thought of it at the time, but I bet I moved it from a FAT32 to NTFS.
