Description Pawel Pogorzelski CLA 2009-07-06 07:55:45 EDT
Bug 220240 introduced Apache HTTP client as a default one for ECF. This caused a change in behavior of ECF clients which in some circumstances lost the ability to authenticate on proxy servers using NTLM scheme, see bug 281472 and bug 252002 for details.

There is a workaround for the problem described at: http://wiki.eclipse.org/ECF_Filetransfer_Support_for_NTLMv2_Proxies. This description should be more visible, I suggest to put it in the readme file. Please suggest more appropriate place if you find one.

Since I'm not aware of any clients other that p2, the update might be located in p2 section. If such clients exist it can go to a more general category.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
