Description Greg Harvey CLA 2009-07-01 05:44:40 EDT
At the moment (in 3.4.1 - which is the latest version as packaged by Fedora, hence me being on an older version) if your files are not in any form of version control then the only option available under Team is Apply Patch.

Since you are able to compare using local history, it would seem reasonable to allow patching from local history too. There are occasions where I am working in a sandbox environment, outside of version control, and I just want to quickly make a patch of the change I just made. Right now I have to fetch a fresh copy of the file I changed and do a command line diff against my new file, which is ok but it's a bit of a faff.

If Team -> Create Patch was able to still function against different local history revisions then that would be a big help!

Any movement on this? From what I can tell you still can't do it in the latest version and no one even acknowledged the suggestion last time...?

It's not possible to create patches without Team support, see bug 71374.
