Description Christopher Barber CLA 2009-06-25 12:12:36 EDT
Build ID: I20090611-1540

Steps To Reproduce:
The key bindings for expanding and collapsing nodes of tree controls in Eclipse are special in that they do not show up in the list of bindings shown by Ctrl+Shift+L nor in the key preferences, nor are these bindings documented anywhere in the Eclipse workbench help. The use of right/left arrow keys to expand/collapse is mentioned in the section on the Help System in Workbench User Guide -> Concepts -> Accessibility features in Eclipse, but there is no indication that these key bindings are not specific to help navigation.

Specifically, I am talking about the bindings: left, right, numpad_left, numpad_right, numpad_add, numpad_subtract, and numpad_multiply.

Ideally, these should show up in Ctrl+_Shift+L and key preferences, even if they may not be rebound, but barring that they should be documented in help and linked to from doc pages for views using tree controls.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
