Description Christian Schwanke CLA 2002-12-10 02:57:29 EST
When trying to change the color settings for the syntax highlighting, the color
picker dialog shows up and then the whole IDE crashes.
This error is reproducable at any time. I'm using Eclipse on OS X 10.2.2 with
the latest updates to the development tools and an installed jdk 1.4 DP6 from apple.

I've tried both the last Milestone release and the latest nightly build.

p.s. this is my first bugreport ever on any program, so please don't be too
upset if this bug is already known or misplaced etc. (I've searched for it but
couldn't find it so far).

The problem doesn't occur under 1.3.1
Comment 2 Christian Schwanke CLA 2002-12-11 02:33:32 EST
This seems to be a general problem with the color dialog under JDK 1.4.1 (maybe
it's a bug in the JDK ?). I've tried to change other color-settings with the
same result (whole IDE crashes).

I can't make it happen in the latest from HEAD. Please reopen this PR if it
happens for you. Thanks.

Christian,

Please retry with JDK 1.4.1DP8. This appears to be a problem on the JDK side.
Comment 5 Scott D.W. Rankin CLA 2003-02-07 18:39:37 EST
This may be a JDK regression, but I get this bug in Eclipse M5, with 10.2.3 and
JDK1.4.1 DP10.

Andre, is there any chance of Apple fixing this on JDK 1.41?

This PR should really be marked WONTFIX (ie. CANTFIX) because as far as I
know, there is nothing we can do about it.
