Description Willian Mitsuda CLA 2009-06-08 18:30:11 EDT
Galileo RC3:

My default text font is not the platform default (Courier New), I use Bitstream Vera Sans Mono.

If I open any text editor and click on the "Toggle Block Selection Mode", all visible text is changed to Courier New. Text size seems to be ok.

When I turn off the "Toggle Block Selection Mode", the text returns to the right font.

Did you try changing your 'Text Editor Block Selection Font' setting in the preference page?
Comment 2 Willian Mitsuda CLA 2009-06-08 19:38:58 EDT
Hum... so there is a font configuration for this specific case...

But, does that make sense? Why would I want to keep changing the font as I toggle the block selection mode on/off?

IMHO, at least it should follow the Text font setting by default, so people don't get scared.

This is as designed because the editor's block selection mode needs a monospaced font in order to work best. Since there's no API/property on the font to test we have to come with one out of the box.
