When projects containing linked resources are exported, the contents of the linked resources are copied but still flagged as being linked - therefore when imported again, they are re-created at the same absolute path (unless a path variable is used). 

It would be very handy to have an export option which removed the links and actually included the resources inside the project, so on import, a user does not have to specify any path variables or have files scattered around their filesystem.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.
