Description Daniel U. Thibault CLA 2009-05-04 15:00:26 EDT
Build ID: 3.4 (Not displayed by the About dialog)

Steps To Reproduce:
1. Display a Navigator view.
2. Drag (left-drag) a file to an explorer folder window
3. See the mouse change to a drop icon; simultaneously playing with the Ctrl key has the "+" icon flicker in and out.
4. Escape out.
5. Right-drag the same file to the same folder window.
6. See the mouse have no reaction at all: it does not even *begin* to drag.

More information:
Right-dragging (dragging with the mouse's right button instead of the left) is an extremely useful technique under Windows. It alleviates the copy/move guesswork because dropping the object invokes a contextual menu before concluding. In this way the user can unambiguously pick between copy, move, or whatever other options are available (provided by the drop target).

Is this supported by SWT?
Comment 2 Felipe Heidrich CLA 2009-05-06 12:12:42 EDT
SWT doesn't support right-click drag.

Steve, is this a won't fix ?

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
