For 2.1 M4, we want to add a drop-down to the editor area which will list all open editors, regardless of which tabs are visible. This will help with usability problems when the tabs get too scrunched, or when the arrow buttons are needed to scroll the tabs. We are also looking at customizing how many tabs are visible (i.e. show only 10 most recently used editors in the tabs, but all editors are shown in the drop- down). We are currently using the same triangle icon as used for the view menus. However, the editors drop-down is different, and we do not want it to be confused with the view menu. We considered using a chevron icon (>>), but this tends to imply that the drop- down excludes any items visible on the tabs. Do you have any ideas for an icon which: - conveys "all editors" rather than "remaining editors" - will not be confused with a view menu (triangle) See the attached screen shot for the current look. Thanks.

2.1 M4 is Dec 13.
Editor treatment to be revisited for M5.
Pls confirm, am assuming this is deferred now to 2.2?
Yes, it has been deferred.
Nick I'm leaving this bug in bugzilla for now as it will tie into the 3.0 editor ui design work - let me know if that makes sense to you, or whether you need an interim icon regardless?
We backed out of this drop-down for 2.1, so I'm closing this PR. Although I'm working on an update for R3.0, I'll send new requests for any new artwork. Thanks, Nick
