build 20021114 -Select a project that has some errors/warnings. Make sure that other projects have warnings, too. -Select the filter "On Selected Resources and its Children". -Hide the Tasks view. I.e., switch to the console view so that it overlays the tasks view. -Restart Eclipse -Switch to the Tasks view ->All tasks in the workspace are shown. The filter is not applied unless you click the selected project again.
Looks like the view settings are being lost due to lazy view creation.
Not a general problem with view settings. Has to do with order of activation. When the tasks view is recreated, it does not know the selected resource. The filter settings themselves are properly restored. Won't fix for M3. Not much we can do here in 2.1.
Assigning to platform-dev-ui. Should consider for 3.0. We could implement some kind of resource selection service that would keep the selected resource.
Is this still an issue in 3.2?
No longer a problem since no project is selected when you restart Eclipse. Therefore no problem markers are shown either.
As of now 'LATER' and 'REMIND' resolutions are no longer supported. Please reopen this bug if it is still valid for you.
