Description Tomasz Zarna CLA 2009-01-16 08:26:38 EST
I would expect that undoing the Set Encoding[1] action will set back the previous encoding on the resource. Instead it leaves the encoding as it is (keeps the new value) and replaces the editor content, leaving it in dirty state. Is that an expected behavior? Saving the change (the undo result) and manually setting the encoding to the previous value makes things even worse.

My suspicion is that this is not an un-doable command but I'll pass this on to the Text team for comment.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
