Description Jinhua Feng CLA 2009-01-09 04:27:31 EST
Build ID: M20080911-1700

Steps To Reproduce:
A new package explorer was extended from org.eclipse.ui.navigator.CommonNavigator to provide a customized project package explorer. For example, a structure in package explorer

- Project
       A
       B
          b1
          b2
"B" is editable file, b1 and b2 are its two children which are defined in file B, however. After the B is changed, b1 is remove for example, after update the mode of resource B and refresh the whole tree viewer, tree item B collapsed sometimes on Linux Eclipse, but it keeps expanded on Windows Eclipse.

More information:
I tried to record the expanded elements before refresh, and expanded those after refresh, but problem is still there.
Is it possible that sort(automatically?) of the package explorer caused this problem happend?
Linux: Fedora 8
Windows: XP

The Sceenshot is attached:
"before package1 is changed" is the status before a package is changed
"after package1 is changed" is the status after a package is changed
"desired result" is the desired status.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
