	1. in the preference page go to Workbench -> File Editors
	2. Press add
	3. The dialog lets you enter whatever you want. I would expect that the input must be in the format '*.java'
	4. It is also possible to press enter on an empty selection. To show a dialog afterwards is not nice.

In 2.0 it is not possible to hit OK with an empty selection.

The format is intentionally open - this way you can associate any file name 
with a file. It does not allow the entry of names like myfile.*
