Description James Moody CLA 2002-11-06 10:42:07 EST
I've seen this on many dialogs on Motif, including but not limited to the Find
dialog (Ctrl+F in a text editor) and the open type dialog (Ctrl+Shift+T in a
Java perspective), which leads me to believe its a general dialog problem.

Open the Find dialog. Notice that you wait between two and three seconds between
the time that the dialog appears and the time when the text field gets focus.
This delay is quite annoying, and (I believe) is relatively new.

I used the 20021018 build on Linux-Motif all day yesterday and noticed slowness
during most UI actions. Switching editors and views takes a couple of seconds.
There is a 3+ second delay between clicking on a method in the outliner and the
method showing in the editor.
This slowdown is relatively new. 2.0 was a lot faster.

Yeah, you're right. I didn't notice that, but I realize I have the same behaviour.
