Description Carsten Pfeiffer CLA 2008-11-28 06:38:51 EST
When deleting a project, it is automatically removed from all working sets it was part of, which is nice.

However it often happens that I get a new version of a project outside of a revision control system, e.g. by mail, and have to delete the old and import the new version.

In this case, it would be nice if I would be asked if I really wanted to remove the project from the working sets or not.

Not sure whether its possible to hold references in a working set after the project is deleted.

I think the better solution would be to add the WorkingSetGroup container to the import wizard. So that a user can add the project to the working set when its imported

See bug 150626, bug 206441, and bug 248241.

I agree that being able to select working sets on project import is a good idea. It would still be easier for the user not having to do this, though.

Thinking more about it, maybe the import wizard should rather be able to replace an existing project with a new version (thus keeping the working set associations).

It would only need a checkbox (unchecked by default) to also show projects that are already available in the workspace.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
