Bring up the navigator's view menu and pick Filters
The dialog asks the user to "Select filters to apply" and presents a list with two items
*.class
.*

1. If I select *.class and press OK, my first expection was that I would see only
files with a class extension since they would match the current filter. Instead I see
just the opposite, .class files are filtered out.
Once I understand this then checking .* removes all files beginning with "." as expected
The message at the top of the dialog should indicate that files matching the selected
filters will not be shown.

2. How are my choices here determined? Is there any way to add to the list?
I think these are questions users will wonder about. It the choices are
static I think they would be better shown as two check boxes in a composite,
rather than in a check box list.
