Description Dale Williams CLA 2008-10-12 08:04:08 EDT
It would be good if eclipse remembered which perspectives you've used recently so that you dont need to always go to other to switch between perspectives which aren't in a similar area.

I'm referring to the drop down menu

Window... Open perspective...

You might want to try Ctrl+F8 and Ctrl+3 if you haven't already. I think Ctrl+F8 might satisfy your need.
Comment 3 Kevin McGuire CLA 2008-10-21 18:53:01 EDT
Dale, do you mean recently used but now *closed* perspectives?
Comment 4 Dale Williams CLA 2008-10-22 03:09:52 EDT
When I open the PHP perspective the items which appear in the list are Debug and Resource.
When I open the SVN perspective the items in the list are Resource and Team Sync.
There's not easy way to go from the SVN perspective to the PHP perspective without having to go to other.

Hi Dale, does Ctrl+F8 help?
Comment 6 Dale Williams CLA 2008-10-22 04:28:10 EDT
Ctrl+F8 helps heaps.

If a code tab has the focus in the SVN repository perspective then the functionality doesn't work.

Can you reproduce this problem in other perspectives? Say, like the CVS repository (if you have CVS tooling instaled)?
Comment 8 Dale Williams CLA 2008-10-22 05:08:40 EDT
Was able to reproduce in the Remote System Explorer
Comment 9 Kevin McGuire CLA 2008-10-29 15:47:42 EDT
Dale, seems Cntrl-F8 gives you what you want. But there's the remaining issue of it not working in some perspectives. OK to repurpose this bug for that aspect alone?

Changing Version tag to something more believable.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
