The View Model base classes in org.eclipse.dd.debug.ui plugin are a provisional API as of DD 1.0 release  Should we change them to final APIs in 1.1?

IMO, it's still too soon to finalize these APIs.  We are still using the deprecated IDMService.getModelData() for caching label information and I would feel better if we could migrate away from it before finalizing the API.

This is a out of my expertise, but I always was annoyed by the warnings of the getModelData() deprecation.  So I agree with you that it would be nice to finalize the API when we no longer internally use any deprecated things.
