The view model for common debugger views (debug, variables, registers, expressions, modules) are a provisional API as of 1.0).  As the implementation of these features matures, these APIs should be made public and final.

It looks like this is not going to happen in 1.1.

By consensus we agreed that we cannot really finalize this API until platform finalizes the flexible hierarchy APIs themselves.  To comply with Eclipse rules, we'll also have to mark the related packages as provisional in CDT.
