The check box "Use this proxy server for SSL" in Window | Preferences | General | Network Connections
refuses to stay checked after apply and ok

Environment Ganymede 3.4 versions I20080207-1530 and I20080617-2000

Have you entered anything to "HTTP Proxy:" field or have you left it blank?

I can't reproduce the issue from comment 0, however I can see another confusing behavior. 

Steps:

1) Set HTTP proxy and check "Use this proxy server for SSL"
2) Reopen the dialog
3) Uncheck "Use..." and leave the value in SSL proxy
4) Reopen the dialog

You can see that "Use..." is checked again, probably because values in HTTP and SSL proxies are the same. It seems that we are to helpful in this case ;-)

I cannot reproduce the situation described by Michael in comment 0.

The one mentioned by Szymon in comment 2 is reproducible but since resolution of bug 228739 it is no longer an issue. This is because the check box is no longer present in the UI.

So, I'm closing the bug as it became an INVALID one.
