I find the navigation arrows in the toolbar confusing. The up arrow I understand but I think that the right arrow means go into and the left go out of. In fact it is possible to get them to do just the opposite. Perhaps the problem is that what the left or right arrows will do at any given time depends on some invisible history. Just looking at the visible state of the navigator you have no idea what these buttons will do (without checking the button hover-help). Perhaps another problem is that the left right arrows look the same as the up arrow but their functionality is completely different. The up arrow is "move relative to current location" The left-right arrows are "move to to some abitrary location in the history" NOTES:

Useabiity issue for which I do not have a solution
Only happens using Mozilla not Netscape so it may not be our bug.

Can I close this? Our buttons work the same as Windows Explorer.
What the forward/back arrows do is correct. What the up arrow does is correct. The problem is they look the same but act on different models (history vs. containment). Once one understands this it is not an issue. Close if you wish.
I've asked Linda for a better icon, e.g. a folder with an up arrow, since the plain up arrow can also be confused with Navigate / Previous. Hopefully that will help clarify the difference. Leaving this PR open for the icon.
Released new up icons from Linda. Would still benefit from having a more visible history, but this will have to do for 2.0.
