Description Ian Tewksbury CLA 2008-08-19 12:28:11 EDT
Build ID: I20080523-0100

Steps To Reproduce:
Unfortunately this seems to be a randomly hit occurrence without any documented reproducible steps. It was originally hit in an adopter product but was latter hit in a base install of Eclipse.

The basic scenario is that the user right clicks on an item in the Project Explorer and as they mouse over each item in the context menu they get disabled (grayed out). Unfortunately this does not happen with any great regularity so specific steps to make it occur are not known. The next time I hit this I will try to make a list of reproducible steps.

Work Around:
If the user right clicks the same node again the context menu works as expected.

More information:
It would be my assumption that somehow when the user right clicks on a node in the Project Explorer the PE looses track of what was clicked to open the context menu and thus each item when highlighted calculates that it should not be enabled for a 'no selection' state.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
