When I switch autobuild on, often some build activity takes place. Which is to be expected. When that build activity is over, I, the Eclipse user, expect that all projects (that can be build) have been build. In some circumstances, this is not the case. One such circumstance which I can reproduce is described in bug 24070. But it should. After all, why else is it called AUTObuild? For an example of the confusion that can be caused if switching autobuild on does not cause a rebuild to the extend possible, see bug 24015. If you agree to this line of thoughts, I propose that both bug 24015 and bug 24070 should both be marked as duplicates of this bug. Fixing this bug in general will solve those two problems as well. (Whoever does fix this bug might want to have a look at bug 24070 for information how to reproduce an instance of the problem.)
While this bug is still valid, I just saw that bug 24015 is not an instance of this problem.
