Okay, so I take it that you connect successfully and your peers show up and everything?

Yes, forgot to mention that ...

Everything looks fine (and chatting works). Only not the CPU rate.

Well, that's certainly disturbing since I was expecting it to have been stuck in some infinite loop or something. But since chatting works too, I'm not too sure as to what could be causing the problem. Do you have any coworkers with the same problem or something?
Comment 4 Anders Nawroth CLA 2008-06-30 18:13:28 EDT
My coworkers didn't have time to try it out yet :-)

But i tried it on Windows Vista Business with a very similar setup (fresh Ganymede JEE package with a bunch of other plug-ins too).

Got the exact same result. No problems at all with other protocols (didn't try out BitTorrent yet), but MSN has the same problem. Only that CPU went up faster.

I seem to have replicated the problem. While it didn't skyrocket its way to 100%, it did seem to hover around 50-60% for me.

Re-exported jar file with a potential fix.

Hi Anders, can you try to replace the org.eclipse.ecf.protocol.msn jar in your Eclipse installation with the one I have attached here and see how it goes?
Comment 7 Anders Nawroth CLA 2008-07-01 03:06:18 EDT
CPU is normal with the new jar (at least on Vista; will try Ubuntu in a while).

Thanks a lot!
