Description pei na CLA 2008-06-20 02:23:28 EDT
Build ID: I20080530-1730

Steps To Reproduce:
My Env:
Mac OS 10.5.3
Eclipse 3.4 version I20080530-1730

Steps to reproduce:

1.Bind F1 to "dynamic help" in eclipse preference setting.
2.Select "Eclipse"->"About Eclipse", the About dialog jumps out.
3.Click F1.

Expected Result:
The dynamic help appears.

Actual Result:
Nothing Happen.

More information:
1."F1 to bring Dynamic help" works well in places other than dialog.
2. It also works well on Windows.

Kim, any input on this one?

Even without first setting the binding via the preference page F1 will invoke the help on Windows - this in intercepted by the help listener rather than the key listener, as I recall. Interestingly enough, if you bind "dynamic help" to something other than F1 and try on Windows (or Mac) it works in the main window but not in any dialogs. I'm guessing there's no handler for the help command when there's a dialog up, but there probably should be.

I dont think this has anything specifically to do with Mac beyond the fact that "F1" isn't a "Help" key on the Mac in native applications.

Paul, I'll give you this one to see if it's a error in the binding specification (should be Window& Dialog ??)

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
