Description Kevin Haaland CLA 2001-10-10 22:34:58 EDT
TM (6/5/2001 12:35:30)
	SDK 118

	1) in a text editor (I used the scrapbook page editor, but it's the same in a simple text editor),
make a really long line (for example, evaluate System.getProperties() in the scrapbook page)
	2) start selecting the line and select to the end by dragging the mouse to the right
	3) observe: the editor autoscrolls to the right. The scrolling get's slower, the more to the right you
get. towards the end of the line, you can well see the editor jump to the right and select the
		text.

Appearently, we don't scale in for longer lines.

It's getting really slow. Suspect GC and action updating to cause the slowdown.
Should be considered for performance pass.
