Ina, have you tried using a newer build? Could you provide more details of the error that occurred? If the error appears in the Error Log view, could you include the stacktrace?

If the error appears in the Error Log view, could you > include the stacktrace? Hello: I tried it using almost every different kind of builds. There is no exception coming in the error log. I am not the only one facing this problem. A person is facing the problem similar to mine. I have one User Id/passwd and I need to change my passwd after every 90 days. So, when my password got changed, CVS started giving me errors and is refusing to accept my password and after valid number of attempts, it gives me error like Authentication Fail. I tried to delete my Id from CVS and then create again, but it is again not accepting my password. Thanks! Ina Arya
Is the CVS repository not accepting your current password or the previous one? Are you able to authenticate using a command-line client? What kind of connection are you using (pserver, extshh, other)?
What connection method are you using? What CVS server version? Have you tried changing your password on the Properties page for the repository the CVS Repositories view? In the past, we have had incidents where the server does not signal an authentication failure properly (especially using pserver).
Hi: Sorry for late reply. I am using extssh connection. I tried using command line. But again, the problem is there and since my password had been changed, CVS is not accepting any of my new/old password. I am not able to do anything on CVS. Please help me out on this.
It sounds like this may be an SSH issue. Can you connect to your server using an SSH program like Putty?
This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet. If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
