Description Ritesh CLA 2008-04-17 16:15:51 EDT
Build ID: 20080107

Steps To Reproduce:
I installed “Zend Studio for Eclipse” and just “Eclipse for RCP/Plug-in Developers” and both programs are having lots of problems while running “Logitech SetPoint” (Logitech keyboard/mouse driver/software) at same time.

Problems Include:
-	slow start up + program usage
-	Windows -> Preferences… (most of the features are unable to edit and select)
-	slow refresh rate
-	tons of other problems…

More information:
Only solution right now is to exit SetPoint and use Eclipse, I like to use SetPoint program since it controls my Logitech keyboard/mouse advanced features.

I am sure tons of people out there use logitech products and have run into the same problem and unable to figure out what’s going on and have stopped using eclipse products! Took me few installs/uninstalls 2days of research and tons of “what the heck is going on???”

I have also sent an email to Logitech explaining the problem

Are you on a 64-bit system?

Yes

What are these "other problems"? Are dialog windows empty?

What JRE are you using? Are you using a 64-bit JRE? Are you using the 64-bit Eclipse build? The WPF build?

Using JRE version 1.6.0_05 Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM, not sure if its 64bit or not, but its up to date by java.com updates

Eclipse Build ID: 20080107

Not sure where WPF build info is

Yes the dialogs are the once with most of the problems, sometimes they work and most of the times they dont.

other problems!, hmm... well its mostly things are realy slow, and work few times and other time they dont this is directly related to SetPoint software some how, when i dont have the program running everything runs smooth.

Note system info:
processor: 2 x 2.4GHz 6600
ram: 3069MB
video: nvidia 8800GTS 640MB

system is custom built with high end parts, and its all water cooled and very well maintained so the slowness is clearly not the system

It sounds like bug 142965 and bug 204953 (and their thousands of other respective duplicates).

Please try Eclipse 3.4M6a.

Well the new version does work really nicely but I don’t develop java I am trying to get “zend stupid for eclipse” to work better since it uses eclipse. I don’t assume you have a link to updated version of zend?

Sorry, I don't do PHP. You'll have to ask Zend directly.
