Description Markus Keller CLA 2008-04-10 08:51:30 EDT
I20080408-0800, follow-up to bug 224861

The message in the progress trim flickers when I do the scenario from bug 224861. The same message is repeatedly drawn, cleared (area filled with background color), and drawn again.

I don't see this flicker, but I'm not really sure how to reproduce it. Does this still occur or can we mark as WORKSFORME?
Comment 3 Markus Keller CLA 2016-02-25 09:19:20 EST
Steps to reproduce the flickering on CVS > Compare With > ... in I20160216-1400:

- check out /cvsroot/tools/org.eclipse.orbit/org.junit from :extssh:your_login@dev.eclipse.org:/cvsroot/eclipse

- select the org.junit project
- Search > File...:
   - File name: *.java
   - Scope: Selected resources
- view menu > Show as List
- Select All
- context menu > Compare With > Another Branch or Version...
- select Branches > v3_8_2 (refresh if necessary)
=> flickers once per file that gets compared

(In reply to Markus Keller from comment #3)
Initial checkout should be branch v4_12_0.

Interestingly, it doesn't flicker if I only select a few files (e.g. 10).

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet. As such, we're closing this bug.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it and reopen this bug. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
