Description Pavel Krupets CLA 2008-04-09 13:50:06 EDT
Hello,

Since I installed 3.3.2 (or maybe earlier) when I export my preferences and then import them all types or preferences are imported (like opened workspaces history).

I'd suggest to add into export/import the following feature:

add multiple selection list box with types of preferences:

- system
- workspace
- project
- etc

So I can select what to export/import. It's a kind of tiring when opened workspaces history is wiped out when I import preferences.

Pavel, can you elaborate on what you mean by workspace history? Are you referring to the history of individual files in the workspace?
Comment 2 Eric Moffatt CLA 2008-04-18 15:48:01 EDT
Remy, my bet is that it's the list that shows up under 'File -> Switch Workspace'.

Kim, I realize that this isn't covered explicitly by the component area definition but I thought I overheard you and Tod talking about this at one point...

Sorry. I was away for a while.
Yes. It's list of workspaces one sees when opening eclipse and choosing which workspace to load.

Right, we should do an audit of what we export in 3.5 time permitting.
Comment 6 Oleg Besedin CLA 2009-03-18 15:24:37 EDT
Not enough time to do it in 3.5.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
