Work with the SBVR community to define and implement transformation from UML domain models to SBVR vocabulary.
Comment 1 Raquel Pau CLA 2008-09-08 08:55:41 EDT
Hello,

I'm currently developing the necessary rules to transform an UML model to SBVR, but the necessary elements to perform it are incompleted. For instance, now it is impossible to distinguish between attributes and associations because do not exists the diferent subtypes of fact type (i.e is-property-of fact type or associative-fact-type).
In addition, we have the rules to translate an OCL expression (derivation rules and integrity constraints) into SBVR logical expressions.
If you are interested in our project, can give me the instructions to add our ATL transformation and complement the SBVR metamodel files?

Sincerely,

My apology for a delayed response. We were stalled while deciding between two fundamental design approaches for the metamodel. Having now decided on continuing the tooling metamodel as started, the project activity will accelerate.

First, I am very interested in your transformation work and would like to test it on a few UML models. This is also an excellent test and evaluation of the SBVR metamodel design. Would you be able to create a ZIP attachment to the bugzilla with the ATL transformations and instructions for their use?

I committed an updated set of metamodel definitions to CVS that includes the fact types that you requested. Also committed the generated plugin code and a sample generated editor. This editor should be helpful in reviewing the transformed models.

Best Regards,
  Dave Carlson
