Description Jacob Weber CLA 2008-04-07 14:02:29 EDT
I have the following problem. I tend to work on multiple branches of the same project (from CVS) at the same time. But Eclipse can't have multiple projects with the same name. So I usually use "Check Out As", and append the branch name to the end of each project's name.

But if I try to check out a large number of projects at once, from the same branch, this doesn't work. The "Check Out As" dialog doesn't ask you for the project name when you select multiple projects. It would be nice if it did, and the field had a placeholder for the CVS project name (e.g. {project}).

(An alternative would be to just allow multiple projects with the same name. But I imagine this would be harder to do.)

This would be a nice feature to have (using placeholders in the Check Out wizard) but we don't have the manpower to address it at this time. Patches will be accepted.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
