Created attachment 93203 [details] Image of the buttons. Build ID: M20071023-1652 Steps To Reproduce: This bug only exists on Mac OS X ( testing on 10.5.3 ) 1. Drag any tab into its own window. Expected result: The red "close" button and the yellow "dock" button should be available. Actual result: The red "close" button and yellow "dock" button are both grayed out. This prevents you from moving a window into the dock or closing the window using the standard window close button. More information: A picture of this can be found at http://www.unregardless.net/buttons.png I suspect that this bug may be fixed as a side effect of fixing bug 120910.
We can take a look at the close button to see if we can get it enabled. The main issue with making detached windows 'top level' shells is that we've encountered issues with the main menu bar...top level shells take this over and DW's don't want to do this (since it's really the 'main' shell that should be defining the menu; this is why bug 120910 is still open).
Prakash is now responsible for watching bug in the [Mac] component area.

What are you saying here? DW should not have menus or that DW menus should be defined by the "main" shell? Or are you saying something else entirely?
This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet. As such, we're closing this bug. If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it and reopen this bug. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant. -- The automated Eclipse Genie.
