Description Tomasz Zarna CLA 2008-03-10 07:03:03 EDT
With introduction of the "Show matched hunks"[1] option, a user can inspect hunks which are matched and will be applied. The user can now exclude selected hunk. The excluded hunk should not be shown as a change when viewing full content of the file. It should be hidden the same as non-matching hunks are.

I agree with Tomasz. This is even more misleading if "Show Excluded" option is disabled. Then you can see the changes that correspond to hunks that are not displayed on the list.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
