Steps To Reproduce:
Trying to use the org.eclipse.search framework in one of my RCP applications, I found that it introduces a dependency on org.eclipse.ui.ide.


More information:
Since the IDE plugin adds a couple of unwanted stuff to my app, I will not be able to use the search plugin.
It would be great if this dependency could be removed.

Sounds like a duplicate of bug 77424 in a way since several comments in that bug are also requesting the removal of the IDE dependency.

As of 3.3 this is no longer the case i.e. yes, it maybe adds unwanted stuff that makes your RCP a bit bigger but you can simply ignore that stuff in most cases where install disk space isn't a problem.
