We are past the Feb. 29th release date, but the update site still contains the Europa Fall Update: http://download.eclipse.org/releases/europa/site.xml For more information see the following thread: http://dev.eclipse.org/mhonarc/lists/cross-project-issues-dev/msg02130.html Once this is resolved the following wiki section should be updated: http://wiki.eclipse.org/index.php/Europa_Simultaneous_Release#Coordinated_Maintenance
To avoid further confusion here is what I did: The EPP packages that were released on 2008-02-29 to eclipse.org/downloads were build 2008-02-28 06.40am GMT * on build.eclipse.org (files accessed via NFS, not via http/web-server) * with content from the -- Europa *Staging* Update Site -- Platform testUpdates-M update Site -- mylyn/update/europa update site (to avoid I/O problems of the Europa US) * build logs etc are available here: http://download.eclipse.org/technology/epp/downloads/release/europa/winter/ The fact that they were available earlier from 'Friends of Eclipse' was new to me, but I had no reasons to object - I thought that this is maybe a good way to push that service. I didn't copy any bits from staging to release. In fact, I do not have the necessary access rights to do this.
This is my fault for becoming confused about what was going on. I am re-running the Europa builds to get a green build. I am contacting each release engineer when there are build failures. I will notify the list when I have been successful.
Fyi, Mylyn has the same bits on the current Europa site as in the EPP packagings (all features 2.3.0.v20080225-2200, see bug 173150 for the update trail).
The Europa build went green (well, it didn't, due to bug 187396, but I fixed it by hand and so it is effectively green - I don't want to run the build again due to all the I/O errors). I have copied the Europa staging site to the Europa download site. I have update the wiki page.
FYI: I checked the EPP package content against the new Europa Winter update site content and came to the conclusion that *no* rebuild is required. * There is no difference on the feature level * Some plugins (e.g. org.eclipse.emf.mapping.ecore_2.3.0.v200802051830.jar) differ on a binary level, but I tested some of them and the only difference seems to be a whitespace change in the included MANIFEST.MF in the '#Processed using Jarprocessor' line.
