Due to some dependencies introduced by the SML MDR implementation (my assumption that this is what leaded to the dependency), the SMLIF editor plugin now depends on the Data Collection CMDBf implementation, dc.cmdbf.services plugin Aside of the fact that this dependencies requires SMLIF editor end users to download the entire Data Collection component, there is no logical reason for having the SMLIF editor implementation depend on CMDBf. The SML MDR support is required but should be added as an extension to the existing SMLIF editor functionality and not as a new dependency. We should try to separate the SML MDR implementation from the IF editor.
Please create an SML feature to contain the follwoing plugins : cosmos.rm.validation cosmos.rm.smlif cosmos.rm.repository cosmos.dc.cmdbf.services This feature contains the SML validator and SML-IF editor Note that cosmos.dc.cmdbf.services is currently part of the DC main feature. This plugin will be shared with the SML feature and because of that it is important to not define any new plugin dependencies for cosmos.dc.cmdbf.services ( cosmos.dc.cmdbf.services currently has no other COSMOS dependencies ). In support of testing that the dependency was not updated I suggest to define a routine to be run with the build that verifies no changes had been applied to the cosmos.dc.cmdbf.services dependency stack
don't we already have a feature with that exact list of plugins in it? jagmit or hubert put cmdbf.services into the existing feature in i8.
I am not sure, possibly There are some other parts to this defect ( dependency validation at build time)
Want to get the update, before I start working on this work item. We already have the feature org.eclipse.cosmos.rm, which contains the following plugins: org.eclipse.cosmos.rm.validation org.eclipse.cosmos.rm.smlif org.eclipse.cosmos.rm.repository org.eclipse.cosmos.rm.doc.user Is it ok to add plugin cosmos.dc.cmdbf.services, in the above feature. Or create the new SML feature. If yes what should be the name of the new SML feature
Jagmit, you can use the existing feature and just add the cmdbf.services plugin to it The name of the feature should be SML and description : SML validation tool and SML-IF editor
fixed this in COSMOS-1.0.0-200802050923. Please verify
This build is not yet available. I get this error when I try to download the zip The selected file is invalid, or it is no longer available for download.
It takes some times to get the drivers uploaded, wait for few minutes.
marking bug fixed.
