Steps To Reproduce:
1.Create Scripted Datasource
2. Create Dataset from scripted datasource (The fields are filled passing object on memory) and they are OK
3. Create a Barchart ... with standard settings...
 



More information:
The problem is when the chart is renderized...the bars are always thin...
Seem me the problem exists only with a scripted datasource..if I Choose JDBC datasource the problem das not happen
To solve this problem I have Select "stacked" bar chart and on this way the bars of the chart are ok but the legend is printed on inverse order..

I can't reproduce the situation by your description in 2.3 or 2.2.1.The width of the bars in the chart which is using scripted data source is just the same as normal. 
Would you mind attaching your report design here?
